About the Author

Aron Hussid Ferreira is a physician trained at the Ribeirão Preto School of Medicine, University of São Paulo. He has spent the last fifteen years on the front lines of emergency medicine — an environment where decisions are made in seconds, systems fail, and the margin for error is nearly nonexistent. Perhaps that is why the questions at the heart of POTUS.EXE have never felt like distant science fiction to him: what happens when a system too complex to be understood takes control? Who bears responsibility when the algorithm is wrong?

He holds a doctorate in Medicine from FMRP-USP, with specializations in Internal Medicine and Intensive Care. He developed the medical mobile application USLS — Ultrasound Life Support and has published in international peer-reviewed journals. He is a professor and preceptor to medical residents — a role that, in his words, is where one learns far more than one teaches.

POTUS.EXE is his first novel. It was born, like most things that matter, in the margins: in the hours between hospital shifts, in the late nights after the hospital — and the children — had finally gone to sleep.

He lives in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, with his architect wife and their two sons, Martin and Oliver, who do not yet know what AI is, but have already mastered knocking everything off the table.
